Ritsuo Shingo, former President of Toyota China and Hino Motors China, son of Shigeo Shingo (whom the prize is named after). Mr. Shingo will give a fresh perspective to the power of the Toyota Production System and will discuss his experiences of learning from a master teacher, which enabled him to progress from student to manager to president. Mr. Shingo will further discuss Toyota’s management philosophy in five areas: management, problem solving, waste, continuous improvement, and genbaism (go and see).

Senior Master Trainer Patrick Graupp’s professional career has mirrored the journey of the TWI program in many ways. After working with TWI in Japan for many years, Pat returned to the United States and became a pioneer in reintroducing TWI here. The lessons he learned along the way will enlighten experienced practitioners and TWI beginners alike.
